CAS Proposal #6 (GIN Dialysis)

The activity I am planning to do is about dialysis. Basically, a group of people including myself will be visiting a hospital once a month or maybe every few weeks to patients that need to take dialysis due to kidney failure. They don't have enough money so we're here to help them. Currently, a filter costs around P1,000 and they shouldn't be reused. Due to the patients not having enough money, they reuse the dirty filters which could cause infections.

Out of this activity, I want to feel like a better person and feel as if I've helped at least one person. As long as I could make a difference and although that sounds really silly and obvious, it's something I do want to do.

Our supervisor would be Mr. Schulte and it will start in a few weeks time.

Reflection to CAS Blog Proposal #4 (White Coats)

The White Coats group ended last December, 2013. It was a nice experience for me to see these young, filipino children who aren't as fortunate as I am and see how happy they were. It felt good to see them listening when I was teaching the experiments we were going to conduct and see them smiling when they saw their finished product.

Reflection to CAS Blog Proposal #3 (Workout)

A few months ago, I made a proposal that I would workout every two days. I haven't been able to keep this up, however, due to lack of time. I have recently joined the basketball team which results in me having practice every day until around 5:45 P.M. During Christmas break, I did manage to keep up with my gym schedule by going to the gym at SM every second day. I was able to see changes in my body in a positive way. My body mass increased from 56kg to 65kg by the end of break and that wasn't because of Christmas eating. I became fitter and stronger which were some of my goals but I would still like to continue going to the gym.
